I am using Origin 851, when I tried to copy the graph to word or ppt, the graph size just shrinks to left corner of the page. No matter whatever page size I set, it always shrinks to certain ratio with respect to page size. I seems to be able to export the graph in picture such as tif or jpg correctly, however, when I export it as eps, emf format, it shrinks.

I have checked that there is nothing in the grey area causing the large white page area. I used to use this program without any problem. I appreciate anyone can help me out, I am so frustrated.

In origin, Go to Tools > Options > Page > Select simple

Hi,

I had the same problem and I solved by changing some settings. try the following.

Tools - Options - Page - Margin Control as "Page"

After that it should work normally

I am getting this same problem when doing copy page in Origin 8.5.1 and pasting it in Powerpoint (2013). Johannes' suggestion makes the plot bigger, but it is still too small and located in the upper left corner of a large box in Powerpoint. Is there a fix?

Thanks, Tiffany

Did you have a look into the origin options (opened with CTRL+U in my german version) on the tab called 'page' ('Seite' in german)?

We had the same issue (if I understood correctly) before we changed to '100%', 'page' and 'set resolution to 300 dpi' on that page.

Regards,
Johannes

Hi,

It may be that issue that was fixed in 8.6, but I'm not sure.

Would you mind sending us the .OPJ containing the graph, and a Word .DOC or .DOCX with the pasted image. You can email them to us at tech@originlab.com

Perhaps it is related to this issue that was fixed in 8.6 :

My word is 2010, I remembered that I don't have this problem on word 2007.

I checked the size, it is 100% on scale, the size shown is the size of the object frame instead the actual graph size. In the position option, it changes the position of whole frame but not the graph.

I use Edit-copy page to new graph window and the graph I pasted also becomes smaller in size on left corner.

I really don;t know what exactly wrong with my Origin.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Ok, I think this has to do with how Word is importing the image, a quick way to check would be to open Word and insert the image, then right click on the image and go to Size/Position and see if the scale of the image is at 100% or not.

Also, what version of Word are you using?

Thanks for your reply first.

It always shrinks when I use Edit-Copy page to paste created image into word or ppt, the graph/white page ratio looks no probem in OriginPro. But after I paste to clipboard or word, the gragh somwhow appears very small on the left upper corner of the pasting frame area, leaving large white blank page inside the frame, just like what shows in attached picture.

I tried to export the same graph in .tif mode, insert it in word, the graph looks exactly like what in origin, however I found that any other export formats like.eps, I have same problem as I use the copy page function where graph becomes smaller automatically.

I have also tried to open some old graphs which have correct graph/white page ratio, however, after I double click them in word or ppt in order to only open them Origin Program. by doing nothing but close the origin program, the insert.eps format graph become very smaller again. I have tried everything suggested on the website, nothing helps so far.

appreciate you can help me out with this issue.

Hi,

It wasn't clear to me if you are saying that it always shrinks when you copy it (by CTRL+C or through the menu etc.) in Origin and paste it in Word.

Or are you exporting it and then importing the created image into Word, and that some formats do this correctly, whereas others are shrinking?
