Hello there,

Is it possible to change the iteration-Algorithm of in te NL-Curvefitting from Levenberg-Marquard to another one?

Thanks

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Are you having issues with convergence with your data/function? If yes, can you send your data and your fitting function (if it is user defined), so we can check?

Note that in the NLFit dialog, there is a button in the middle panel marked as "S". This button will perform Simplex approximation, so this is an alternative to Levenberg-Marquardt. Performing a few rounds of Simplex followed by LM may work, if convergence is an issue.

Hi Daniel,

No, the algorithm in NL-Curvefitting is only Levenberg-Marquard. The orthogonal distance regression algorithm is used in Nonlinear Implicit Curve Fit.
