Hi,
I have a book with an embedded graph. The Graph is linked to a datasheet in that book (let say book 1).
When I duplicate the book to enter new data, the embedded graph in this new book still gets the data from book1.

How can I tell the graph to take the data from the book it is embedded in and not the previous book.

Thank you

JP

You must have an Origin earlier than 8.510295 (8.5.1 b295), because that version automatically links the plotted data in the duplicated graph to the duplicated data so the change you describe is not needed.

For your version:
Change the duplicated data for the duplicated Book with graph.
Double-click on the embedded graph to open it.
Right-click on the layer icon and choose Plot Setup.
Select the new (duplicated) data sheet in the top panel.
Select the appropriate XY in the middle panel.
Select the plotted data in the lower panel.
This should activate the 'Replace' button which you should click.
Click OK to exit the dialog. (Your graph should be OK now.)
Close the graph window to re-embed.
