Hi. I want to reduce the number of datapoints in my plot. I know it is possible to reduce the actual number of plots in the layer control window but this does not affect the number of datapoints that is printed. Is there a simple way to plot lets say every third data point on the screen and on the "printer" without having to manually delete all the other points.

In a scatter plot you can do what you want: double click on your plotted dataset to open the Plot Details dialog, then go to the Drop Lines tab. Check 'Skip points' and set the number to 3.
