Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginLab 8.6
Operating System:Win7
I find the following information from OriginLab website:
http://originlab.com/www/helponline/Origin/en/UserGuide/The_Fit_Results.html
From Parameter Standard Errors part, it says Variance-Covariance Matrix C=inv(F'F)*s^2. I want to know how the Origin calculate C when F is singular(hence, F'F is singular) and the inverse of F'F cannot calculate directly. What method Origin has used to deal with this condition?
Thanks

Hi,

As I replied in the email, when F is singular, SVD is used while if it is not singular, Gauss-Jordan will be used.
