Hi, my origin version is 8.0. I want to fit a curve using a new function that I edited. However every time when I try to do the curve fitting, the new function cannot be used. I don't know why.

Hello Hao,

When open Nonlinear Curve Fit dialog to fit the data, did you set Parameter initialization values?

Unless some parameter initialization code is defined in user-defined fitting function, you have to set the parameter initial values when doing the fit.

Maybe you can look at this video
http://www.originlab.com/Index.aspx?go=Support/VideoTutorials&pid=1172

About 2:45 shows how to set initial values on Parameters tab before doing the fit.

If it still doesn't work, maybe you can email your data and fdf file to tech@originlab.com and mention this post?

Sincerely, Snow
