I am plotting graphs in origin using an imported excel file. I was wondering if there is any keyboard shortcut to toggle between the excel file and the graph, to make one active. Alternatively, is there a way to refresh the origin graph automatically (or a keyboard shortcut) whenever I change the data in the excel sheet, without clicking the mouse?

We don't have hotkey for that yet.
I created jira https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-10203 and will email our developers to implement it.
Thanks, Snow OriginLab Corp. |

Please have a look:
I do 'update origin' for updating values called from the excel file, as suggested by Jacqueline. For more details , please see replies to my post "Working with Excel_Setting column values". I was looking for a keyboard shortcut for this action. Thanks.
Best regards, Sarath. |

I didn't see Update Origin hotkey in Origin.
Could you let me know in what case you want to update Origin?
Thanks, Snow |

Posted - 10/29/2013 : 11:59:52 AM Hello,
You can go to originlab.com. Go to Downloads: Product Literature.
Download the Shortcuts card. http://cloud.originlab.com/pdfs/Origin91_Documentation/English/Shortcuts_Card_91_E.pdf#zoom=100
Ctrl+F6 is the shortcuts to toggle between windows in Origin.
If you double click the X, Y Axes in the graph to open Axis dialog. On Scale tab, set Rescale to be Auto. When you change the data and go to graph window, the graph will be updated automatically.
Thanks, Snow Li OriginLab Corp. |
