Hello, I am trying to import some simple ASCI .txt files into Origin. These files have 39 header lines with measurement information+comments, following tab seperated measurement data.
Auto header dedection failes with these and also preview of the header lines in import wizard stops at a certain point in these header lines. Setting the header import settings manually results in a error message
quote:[30.10.2013 11:49:27 impASC] File "xxxx05230103000xxxx_w00_01.txt" is invalid!
I suppose that the problem is with some uncommon characters as the preview and header detection always stops at a certain line in these files. Below I attached an example of these files.

Posted - 10/30/2013 : 2:03:41 PM This is a bug. The Preview in Import Wizard and the ASCII import code are both tripping up on ˙˙˙˙ in the file. For the moment, your only option seems to be opening the file in some editor and copypaste to Origin.
