Hello everyone, I have a 3D bubble chart. The balls are color-coded based on time of occurrence. The "time of occurrence" column is "text" and I have to make the legend based on "categorical values" so that the dates are shown in it (instead of numbers). This is OK.
The problem is that I need to have the radii scaled based on negative numbers. For example: -1.58 -2.67 -2.86 -3.03 -2.19 -5 -2.36 -4.5 -2.46
and in this case thee -1.58 should be the biggest ball and the -5 is the smallest ball. Also I need this to be shown in the legend as well. So the ball in front of -1.58 in the legend should be bigger than the ball in front of -5.
Please see the picture. Also, you can download the opj file from the link I provide.
Thank you so much PS. There is a minor thing I would like to do as well but it's not vital. In the legend there are squares in front of the negative numbers. Is there a way to make them spheres instead of squares? Thank you

Posted - 01/09/2014 : 5:39:11 PM Hello,
No problem.
Just want to let you know that we will try to improve this in the future so you don't need to use the trick I used. The categorical legend should keep those symbol property settings that are not indexed.
https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-10392
Also, with my method, the symbol radii isn't proportional to the values. Is that OK?
Thanks, Snow |

Posted - 01/09/2014 : 5:01:13 PM Hi Snow, Thank you so much. Got it. My apologies there was a problem in the email settings. You're right that you had replied about 10 days ago. Sorry about that. I appreciate it. Thank you so much |

Posted - 01/09/2014 : 4:09:19 PM Hello,
I emailed you an opj with this requirement on Dec. 30th. Did you get it?
I set the radii column to be categorical and sort the whole worksheet by that column so each radii value will have difference size but not actually propertional to the column values, is it OK?
I will email to you again. I used some tricks to make both color and size show as circles.
Thanks, Snow OriginLab Corp. |
