Is it possible to position a super- and subscript character next to the same character? Here's an example.

Hi,

You need to use /v() as escape sequence. For example:
Main Text\=(subscript\v(,) part,superscript, part)

Sorry that I forgot to mention it last time.

Hi,

The syntax for writing a SuperSubscript is (visble under the "Title & Format" tab of the Axis dialog box):

\=(,)
for instance:
MAINTEXT\=(SUBSCRIPT PART,SUPERSCRIPT PART)

As a consequence, if I want to insert a comma in the subscript part, it is interpreted as the separator between the subscript and superscript parts.

That is why I asked if this was possible, and if so how to do it?

Hi,

Of course it's possible.
All text are freely customizable, you can make anything to be subscript or super-subscript, and also subscript of super-subscript, of cause.

Hi,

And how to include a comma in the subscript part of a SuperSubscript? Is this possible?

Thanks, sorry, I should have found that myself...

Hi,

Origin supports the SuperSubscript format

You can set this format by "SuperSubscript" button on the ¡°Format¡± toolbar.
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Format-Toolbar

If the characters are in the worksheet cells, you need to check the ¡°Rich Text¡± box in the ¡°Format Cells¡± dialog then the format buttons will be available for the cells.
To open the ¡°Format Cells¡±dialog, you can right-click on the cells or column, and choose ¡°Format Cells¡¡± in the context menu.
Please refer to this online help page:

Thanks
Jacqueline
