Origin 6.0 with Windows 7: I have finally been able to save data and import it in a saved line graph template with the correct time reflected in the graphs Y axis. The final thing I would like to accomplish is to have the date that is included in the imported file name reflected on the chat for identification purposes. The data file name is MyLogFile 140120 which changes daily as a new file is saved. (just the date 140120). Presently what appears in a label at the top right side of the chart is the name (Signal) of the second column of data that is imported.
Thanks
James Allen

Hello,

We may not support this in 6.0.

In later versions, we supported multi-sheet workbook and usually the file nama without extension is imported as Sheet Name. (before 7.5, there is only 1 sheet in workbook and file name is imported as book name).

You can
1. Right click in the graph and choose Add/Modify Layer Title.
It will create a text object with text "Layer Title" highlighted in it.
2. Right click or use Ctrl+H to open the "Insert Info. Variables" dialog.
3. Uncheck "Insert as "Property = Value"" checkbox.
4. On right panel, choose Sheet level of Y plot.
5. On Label tab, choose Name.
6. Click Insert to insert the sheet name as layer title in graph.

The follow video talked about how to use the dialog though it doesn't pick the Sheet level to pick Sheet name to display.
