As Snow wrote, directly fitting from the 3D scatter, you need OriginPro 9.x, especially only route for non-linear surface. But just for a plane which is linear, you can run the multiple regression for its parameters, then you can plot its surface. Also, though it was created for 7.5, you can try the File Exchange item: http://www.originlab.com/FileExchange/details.aspx?fid=80

Posted - 01/30/2014 : 09:52:09 AM Hello,
We don't support surface fit till 8.5.1. http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin&PID=1029.
Your latest version in Origin 9.1. And Surface Fit is only supported in OriginPro.
Thanks, Snow OriginLab Corp.
