How exactly is the phase of the sinus fit in Origin defined?
According to the user guide the phase shift is fit-variable xc.

Relative to what is the shift defined? E.g. suppose, I have a peak at 180°. What is the phase shift in this case?

Can I directly determine the peak position from the fitting parameters?

Hi,

According to the definition of Sine function, when Xc=0, the peaks will be at X=0.5w+2kw and X=1.5w+2kw (k=...,-1,0,1,2,...). And with Xc, peaks will at X=0.5w+Xc+2kw and X=1.5w+Xc+2kw.

So if your peak is at X=Pi, assuming k=0 at this point,w=1 and it is a positive peak(A>0), Xc=Pi-0.5.

It's just simple math to calculate corresponding parameters, you should be able to do it by your self.
