The same tasks in matlab would be done in a flash, whereas it would take several seconds, all the windows will start blinking as if they are on the brink of hanging up. The kind of tasks I am talking of are very simple but involve large datasets: one typical example is taking a dataset of two columns of 15000 rows and break it in several subsets satisfying certain constraints and pasting them in another workbook.
