OriginPro Ver. and Service Release: 9.1 SR2
Operating System: Windows 7

Occaisionally when I have many graphs in a project folder some names seem to get conflated. The name view pane will show distinct names for all the graphs, but if I try to export all graphs one or more may not be exported. When I try to select the specific graph to export, the name that appears in the name pane plus another graph name are highlighted. The wrong graph appears in the preview pane.

It seems the same handle is being used for two graphs. Does anyone know how to break this connection? All I've been able to do is rebuild the graph from scratch, which is not very efficient.

Thanks much for any help.
cheers, dave

There is a bug somewhere in the code such that it is possible to get two graphs with the same Short Name. In this case Graph Export always exports the earlier created graph.
The workaround is to change the Short Name of one of the graphs.

If you discover the activity which creates the name conflict, please let us all know!

Hi Dave,
Usually when you create a new graph, Origin will automatically assign a distinct short name for that graph. Even if the long name for one graph is the same as another, Origin will still be able to identify the desired graph according to the short name. As shown in the following graph, the short name is unique while the long name can be the same:

I am not so sure what went wrong with your project, can you please send your .opj file to us by following the guidelines in the link below so we can reproduce your problem?

Thanks!
