Posted - 03/24/2014 : 08:07:42 AM Hello
I want to plot a histogram from my data. I noticed that when Origin plots a histogram it adds the same data and puts them in the column. In my data I have the number of counts already.
E.G
Particle energy ; number of counts 10 keV 5 20 keV 5 30 keV 6 40 keV 100 50 keV 50
I need Origin to plot a histogram that will have X as Particle energy and Y os number of counts.
Any advice will be helpful |

Posted - 03/25/2014 : 09:11:29 AM Hi,
You can still do a Gaussian or whatever fit on general column plot, by standard Analysis: Fitting menu.

Then why do you need histogram? You can just plot your data as a regular column graph.

This is how i want it to look like ( made in excel ). |

I guess you are looking for Pareto Chart (from binned data): http://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/ParetoChart-BinData
