Hello,
quite a lot of time has passed since the following problem was posted:

Our data are in the format as shown in the Origin Sample File “\Worksheet to Matrix\Regular\B.Y Varies First”, except that we have reoccurring groups of continuous cells with missing data in the Z-Column.

I'm having the similar troubles ("unwanted interpolations over missing value cells") and was wondering if there is a solution available?
Thanks! Matthias

Posted - 05/09/2014 : 3:36:51 PM Hi Matthias,
Sorry for replying late. Thank you for bringing this up again. I have created https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-11136 to improve this further.
Is it OK that you sent the data to tech@originlab.com?
Here is what you can do now for now.
1. Highlight XYZ columns and choose Worksheet: Reduce Rows... menu to remove rows with missing values first. 2. Then plot B&W contour. --> Then no interpolation will be done around those missing values. But right now there is no way to hide data boundary yet.
