 Fitting multiple peaks using Fit Multi Peaks

Origin Ver. 8 and Service Release 0 (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Windows 7

Dear Originlab Forum,

I have used Analysis>Fitting>Fit Multi Peaks to fit 6 peaks



However, after fitting, it does not account the left most peak of the graph



Can anyone lend me your help?

Hi Max,

Please Highlight column Y in the worksheet then select Analysis: Signal Processing: Smooth from the Origin menu; you can also refer to tutorial below:
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Smoothing.

Yes, the spectrum is quite noisy.

Hi Max,

I assume you use the Analysis:Peak and Baseline:Multiple Peak Fit for peak fitting. The fitting results can be improved by ways below:
1. Conduct a smooth for the spectrum before fitting
2. Select the peaks position manually before fitting, mark six positions you assume to be the peak carefully before fitting (especially the left one).
3. If the results still cannot meet the needs, please send your data to tech@originlab.com and let us check it.
