Log binning is a method to bin a dataset in bins that increase log/exponentially. I have a method using treplace and list that will do the binning of a dataset if the centers of the bins are known but, frankly, im not sure this is a correct procedure.

If anyone here has dealt with log-binning of data and has a procedure you know is correct, i'd like to hear from you.

Thanks in advance

Nils
