I have sent my data to the technical mail. I did not understand what you mean by calling the template when I havent plotted the contour itself. Here is a sketch of what I really want to do

For the overlapping case, simply highlight your XYZZZ and call the contour template (general contour or BW). Then go to Plot Details dialog, and in Colormap/Contours tab, you can set the transparency for each contour.
If you've running in any troubles, please send us your data and we can work you through the steps.

Posted - 01/14/2015 : 02:51:08 AM Thanks for your response Zheng and Snow. I have one XY data with many Z data and would like to plot this on the same graph window either by overlapping them and setting transparency or by the B+W lines

Posted - 01/13/2015 : 2:08:22 PM Hello,
Contour plot will show XY axis, and Z data will mapped to color so there is no Z axis showing in graph. E.g. http://originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin/Graphing/Contour
BTW, do you have one set of XYZ data or you have one XY but many Z data and you want to plot each Z as contour plot in the same graph window?
Could you send your data and and describe what you want to or an sample image of what you want? tech@originlab.com?
Thanks, Snow |

You can add several contour plots overlapped with each other and set transparency. Or, display those three contours in a 3D graph.
