Posted - 02/04/2015 : 5:21:41 PM I want to make a box plot (box-and-whisker type) with a numerical x-axis. By using the box-plot option, the boxes are always equally spaced, non-numerical type categories. If i want my boxes spaced unevenly, based on an x-value, how can I do it? The only way I have thought to do it is to make a separate layer for each box, and specify the x-position of each box using the layer controls for 'size and position' and the 'move' option.
Attached is an example box plot where each box would be associated with an x-value which is not evenly spaced, and thus not represented accurately with evenly-spaced 'category axis' boxes.
Is there a better tip to do this than the many-layer work-around? Thanks for your help
