Posted - 03/13/2015 : 05:23:29 AM Hello all!
I would like to plot "Image Plot" from Matrix. Unfortunatly, I don't know how to add names of rows and columns on Matrix in order to use these names on Image Plot.
Below is example of my target "Image Plot" on MATLAB http://i.stack.imgur.com/lwjWc.png
Could anyone please give my instruction how to do this on Origin 7.5?

It seems a limitation in Origin 7.5.
I tried in latest version. I can change the increment in Image Plot.
Thanks, Snow

I have tried to change "Level" and "Fill". I would like to know how to change "Interval". Now this option is not active for me. It is very boring to change 256 levels by hand. I would like to set ten levels only.

Posted - 03/16/2015 : 11:47:55 AM Hello,
The table that's showing in the middle of Color Map tab controls levels, fill color and contour lines. You can click the column headers, e.g. Level, Fill, , you can click on each column header to customize it further.
E.g. click Level column header, --> U will see a dialog to set From, To and Increment.
Click Fill column header, --> U will see more controls on setting from, to color and pattern, etc.
You can also click on each fill color cell in the table to modify that level's fill color.
Thanks, Snow |

I would like to know how to change the "Color Map". Is it possible to do in automatic mode?
For example, Matrix elements are placed in the range from 0 to 1 and I would like to range the "Image Plot" from 0 to 1 with step 0.1 and to set basic colors.
Now I don't know how to delete lines in the "Color Map" and after that set my "level" and "fill" values. In my case I would like to set 10 lines only. |

Posted - 03/13/2015 : 06:05:46 AM Hi,
Please follow the below steps:
1. New a matrix window. Select Matrix: Set Dimension..., set Column and Rows as 5 and 5. 2. Select Matrix: Set Values..., enter rnd() in the Cell(I,j)= box. 3. Highlight whole matrix to select Plot: Image Plot to plot an image graph. 4. New a workbook, and fill the first column with A B C D E in the first 5 rows.
5. Double-click the X axis to open the Axis dialog, go to Tick Lables tab, select Tick-indexed dataset for Type dropdown list and Data1_A for Dataset dropdown list.
6. Do the same thing for Y axis. Then click OK button.
Thanks, Shirley
