I would like the name of the worksheet then appears directly (without type it) either in the short name or long name of the graph. Thanks

Hello,

We are planning to allow some syntax (same as what we used in Update legend dialog) to specify Graph short name and long name and saving it in Graph Template.

If this is done, when creating new graph with such graph template, it will give graph your specified short name and long name.

The corresponding jira is https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-12495

Thanks, Snow Li

Thanks. It is ok., but I would like too, to show in the shortname of the graph the sheet name, and in the graph longname the legend. Thanks.

Hi,
It cannot/shouldn't happen completely automatic as a graph can contain many plots from various datasets.
Although there should be various ways to make it be more sophisticated, a simple way is to run the following
1-line script, for example from the "Custom Routine Button" to show the active dataset in the
graph's longname:
if(exist(%H)==3) page.label$=%c;
http://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/guide/Getting-Started-with-LT#Custom_RoutineCustom_Routine_Button

Hope this helps.
