I sometimes get an odd extra line in scatter plot. It only appears when I plot both x and y (if I let Origin generate the x axis, it doesn't show up). It goes from the first data point to one near the middle, and changes if I use line, horizontal step, or vertical step. Any idea where it may be coming from, and how to get rid of it?  |

My problem was numbers in the header that I had missed when the data was pulled from the equipment. Delete the header, problem solved.

Hi,
I wonder if the data is sorted by X values monotonically, or not. It should be.

There aren't any redundant points as far as I can tell - the data plot just fine in excel (I wanted to double check) I'll email the data. |

Can you double click your data to see if there were redundant points?
Or would you mind sending us the opj (to <tech@originlab.com>) so we can take a look? |
