Dear All,

I am using Origin 9. I have data in the format (X, Y, Z). I import it into Origin and then create a 3D scatter plot. My X and Y axis range from 0 to 20,000. My Z axis range is from 0 to 2,000. Origin draws my z-axis as long as my X- and Y-axis. I would like Origin to draw it 10 times smaller. Another way to put it, I would like the drawn length of the axis to reflect the range. How can I control the plot dimensions to make this happen?

I see there are some posts about this and in version 9.1 you can click a button in the layer properties dialog box. I also see you can do this with a script for an XY plot. How would I do this for a 3D plot?

Thanks,
me

Hi Snow,

Thanks for the tip. Yes, I agree it is supported in version 9.1. However I am using version 9.0 and would like to do it without having to upgrade my license.

Thanks,
Ed

Hello,

We call this Isometric and it's supported from GUI since Origin 9.1.

Please visit this page of 9.1 release notes to see how to set it.
