Hello everybody,

if I import a a sound pressure measurement as wav in orgin in and plot thias data, I get other amplitudes than in Matlab out . The values get different amplitudes. What do Origin when reading . The amplitudes seem to somehow be converted , but how and to what? Look at the plotted values.

Hi,

If you are using audioread() function in MatLab to read your audio file, by default it will read the data as "Double"-- Double-precision normalized samples, data format.

However, there is an option "dataType" that allows you to choose data format in audioread() function, namely, "native"--Samples in the native format found in the file, which matches up with the data type Origin uses.

You can check out the documentation of MatLab to confirm it.

Regards!

Sean
