Posted - 07/07/2015 : 01:27:52 AM I want to deconvolute ion signal obtained by laser ablation of graphite (as this signal is convolution of proton and multiply charged ions), using coulomb-boltzman shifted function F(t)=A.(m/2pikT)^3/2*(L^4/t^5)*exp[-(m/2kT)*((L/t)-sqrt(gamakT/m)-sqrt(2zeV/m))^2] , where A is normalization constant, m is ion mass, kT is plasma temperature, L is target to detector distance, t is time of flight, gama is adiabatic coefficient Z is atomic number , e is electronic charge and V is accelerating potential. I want to extract plasma temperatre kT and accelerating potential V from fitting of this function. I tried many times but could not deconvolute the signal. Can somebody in this forum help me ?
