Hello! I'm going to fit Gauss function to two peaks which are connected to each other. It's a part of a graph of X-ray powder spectroscopy (the probe was NaCl and the lamp had Cu anode, no monochromator was used). When I fit Gauss function to single peak (K_beta), it works correctly. However, I don't know how to fit this function to two different peaks which are interfering with each other (K_alpha). I tried to define a custom function which was a sum of two Gauss function (my professor told me to do it), but it wasn't working correctly, even if I had given the estimated parameters to Origin. I have been searching for it on many websites and in Origin help, but I haven't found the answer. Could you help me?
Posted - 07/25/2015 : 5:04:35 PM I've just found how to do it. I had to click Analysis -> Peaks and Baseline -> Multiple Peak Fit and choose Gauss function and appropriate data from my graph.
