Hello,

I am having trouble importing hex data into Origin 15 properly. I am able to import the data and then convert it to decimal but for hex values like "75E4" Origin outsmarts itself and decides to interpret that value as 750000 so when I convert it to decimal I get the improper value.

I have so far been unable to find a way to let Origin know during the import that the data is hex and I cannot find a way to reliably stop origin from reading the hex as scientific notation.

If any of you have any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank
John

Say, there are 10 columns of data.
1. Prepare the 10 columns in Text format (Double click the column to open column properties dialog...)
2. Ctrl+k, DO REMEMBER TO CHECK THE "SHOW OPTIONS DIALOG"
3. Check the Import Options -> Miscellaneous -> Keep Target Column Format
4. Use hex2dec() to convert these columns of data.
