Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 8.5.1 SR2
Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

Hello there,

I have problem with certain letters with caron in OriginPro. These are very common in my native language, so we use them a lot. However, some of the letters are not included in the Origin Symbol Map.

Letters "ž" and "š" are included in the map, but there are many more - "ľ", "ť", "č", "ň" - which are not, so when I need to write some plot description or label or legend in Origin my native language, I am quite screwed. Is there some way how to write these?

Hi,

You can use unicode character to write these letters. For example

\x(0165) = ť
\x(010D) = č

I googled and found a reference table for unicode of character with caron

http://www.utf8-chartable.de/unicode-utf8-table.pl?start=256

In addition, usually Origin support special character that you can type.

And if there are characters that you can not type out, You can click Insert Equation button to insert math symbols.
