Origin Ver. and Service Release : 7.5 SR6
Operating System: WINDOWS 7

Hi,

I am using an Origin 7.5 version and I exploited the Interpolate/Extrapolate feature under the Analysis menu.

I extrapolated some data, but I did not find any information on the method used. In later versions I think it is possible to directly choose the extrapolation/Interpolation method, but I have the feeling this is not the case for Origin 7.5.

Does anyone have more information about this feature? Is it a spline? If yes of which type?

Thank you very much

Francesco

Hi Francesco,
The old Origin 7.5 provides, if I remember correctly, only the linear interpolation. The latest version of Origin provides much richer set of inter/extrapolation methods such as Cubic Spline, Cubic B-Spline, Akima Spline, as well as the trace interpolation, methods for 3D data, etc. See:
