Seemingly, originlab can plot map with data, e.g., world map. How to import world map, maybe the GIS layer, into originlab and plot data in color? thanks.

Hello, Origin 2016 supports extra Apps which you can download from File Exchange pages of our website.

One of the Apps is Maps online where user can download maps from differnet sources.
You can watch this youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nmOwvoSILg
Also download the Maps online App from http://originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=240

Thanks, Snow
