I am doing a project for undergrad physics and I am using the deconvolution function in your software. My job is to take a set of data that is theorized to be the convolution of some (known) instrument response function and an unknown function containing a parameter of interest. I need to study extensively how this is done, and so I would like to know by what method Origin obtains its output from the deconvolution function. Is it a Fourier transform method or something else?
Another question I have is that my data is in the time domain, as is the response function. When I perform deconvolution I would like to know what units are retrieved? Would the retrieved function also be in the time domain? Or are the units arbitrary?
