I was making a column graph (with error bars), and wanted that the columns will start at y=1 (the location of the x-axis), and then some of the columns will go up (with the values of >1), and some of the columns will go down (with values <1, most of the values are 0<y<1). When the y-axis was on linear scale, I succeeded in doing it by going to the "Line and Ticks" of the bottom x-axis and set the Axis position at position 1, and make sure that in the "Grids" tab there is no tick at "Y=0". However, I want to show my results on a logarithmic scale, and when I've changed the y-axis to logarithmic scale, all of the columns started from the bottom of the graph, regardless to the position of the x-axis. All of the values are positive.
Can I make a column graph with a controllable location of the x-axis with a logarithmic y-scale?

Sorry for the inconvenience.
This is a bug which we have fixed in latest Origin 2016 SR1. See corresponding row about ORG-14106.

In Origin 2016, it's much easier to set baseline of column/bar plot.
You only need to go to Grids tab to set the Y= value. e.g. y=1.
