Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 9.1 32-bit
Operating System: windows 10 32-bit education in virtual box on Mac OSX El Capitan

I have installed windows on virtual box on my Mac in order to run Origin. Origin seems to have installed fine other than when I try to open the program nothing happens. No tasks appear in task manager and no window opens. If anyone has any ideas what could be causing this I'd be grateful

I have also bee under the same issue. But after a long search, I found that it was Error Code 1802 which was leading to such errors in my device. Adn fixing it through https://errorcode0x.com/resolve-lenovo-error-code-1802/ helped me in fixing all the other issues occurring wth it.

Hi Ken,

I've tried installing the 64bit version of windows and have the exact same problem still. I'm following those instructions exactly as described in the wiki. Thanks for trying to help though!

Hi Pete,

Unfortunately that's a bit difficult to answer since it's a system within a system, that's installed on the latest version of OS X, which is available only as 64 bit.

At this time the most I can do is recommend you review this documentation.
http://wiki.originlab.com/~originla/wiki/index.php?title=Using_Virtual_Box_to_Run_Origin

Otherwise if you're running 32 bit VM on a 64 bit machine, make sure you've made a 32 bit installation of the software in Virtual Box. The only other thing I can recommend is trying to get a 64-bit version of Windows in your virtual machine (if possible) and trying to install the software accordingly.

Best regards,
