Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2015 (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi,

I've got a bit of a strange problem, which as been happening intermittently over the past 3 or 4 weeks - my mouse cursor disappears over the Origin window. The Origin page will highlight as normal when the mouse is over it (although I cannot see the cursor) and I can still use the menus and everything as if the cursor were there. If I close Origin and reopen, the cursor reappears. The mouse is there on all other windows, and if I minimize the Origin window and maximise again the problem persists. The problem can occur several times in a day, then not at all for a week or so. Only my Origin windows are affected. This is slowly driving me crazy. I trust the other people in the office and don't think this is someone's way of cleverly destroying my sanity, so that means there's something on my setup that is doing it. My computer is less than 6 months old, all the scans with Sophos and Malwarebytes are clean, aside from a system rebuild with a large axe does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks from a fellow spreadsheet user

Have you got genuine information?

This is related to the html control that Origin uses in various places, but most likely it is due to the popup hint at the lower left corner.

You can disable it by setting system variable @SHS=0, see this post

http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20458

and again, this bug has been fixed in the current version of Origin 2016.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you happen to know if there is any workaround, or what triggers it occurring?
