Hi mohamed1986,

Sorry, but I have just noticed that there is an option setting to display/output the angle in the Tangent app.
So, you get the angle directly.

Hi mohamed1986,

Once you get the slope value, say -1.25, in the Script window, you can enter the following formula,
and press ENTER key (when default is radian, and you need in degree):
180*atan(-1.25)/pi=
http://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/ref/Atan-func
As the principal value of arctangent is -90<y<90, and your case is negative, you need to add 180 degree.

Thanks much for your help.

Kindly, how can I use ATAN function to convert the tangent to angle??

Hi mohamed1986,

You can use Tangent gadget (or app for Origin 2016) to get the slope at the desired position.
New App: http://www.originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=227
Old tool: http://www.originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=153

You may need to extract nearby data only lower curve before applying the tool to avoid the multivalued function.

You can convert the tangent value to the angle by ATAN function.
