Have anyone already noticed that large numbers are showed in scientific notation by Data Reader, Eg. 1.2345678E9
and sometimes it may 'truncate' less significant digit?
To be 100% sure one should look for real value into spreadsheet.

Also one should care that spreadsheet does not present data in scientific notation or truncation might occur there too.
At menu Tools - Options - Numeric Format: Convert to Scientific Notation, setting Upper Threashold Power to a higher value might prevent that inconvenience.

Eg. suppose we have a value like 1,234,567,891 (less significant digit = 1) and Data Reader shows 1.23456789E9, leading one to suppose a value as 1,234,567,890 with less significant digit = 0!!!

Does someone know if it is possible to set Data Reader not to show values in truncating, scientific notation?

Thanks to all in advance.

Hi Mike,

Thanks a lot for your attention! Yes, that really helps, but we were
just successful with the format presented in the spreadsheet.
It really seems there is a limitation when showing values by Data Reader tool. Regards!

Hi Ricardo,

That's probably just for display purposes. Try this...

Tool->Options->Numeric Format

In the "Convert to Scientific Notation" section set Upper and Lower as desired.
