Is there a simple way to create convex hulls on 3D plots in Origin (i.e. surfaces that surround a specified group of points in 3D)? I can find suggestions on how to do this in Matlab and then import to Origin but no examples of actually creating the hulls in Origin.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I had seen that option already but was hoping there was a way to create a convex surface that follows the outer-most points in a 3D group similar to the matlab and mathematica options (e.g. the 3D convex hull on this page: http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin/Programming).
I am guessing there isn't if the function plot is the only alternative?

You can try adding surfaces by Function Plot. Here is an example of different scatter groups surrounding by spheres:
