Hi.

I have created this figure using a group set of curves.
http://www.originlab.com/ftp/forum_and_kbase/Images/temp.png[/img]

I have now two issue which I cannot solve:
1. I would like to make each entry in the legend the same color as the corresponding curve. For instance, the text in the legend referring to curve "Q" should be red. What do I have to do?
2. How can I arrange that the entries in the legend refer to the long names or comments of the respective column used for the each curve instead of the column label?

I'm using Origin8.5G.

Thank you in advance,

Markus

Hi Markus,

Maybe because your Origin version is old, typical easy automatic assignment of legend items, etc. is not working.
At least in my Origin 2016, the following way works:

I suppose that you have assigned an increment list of colors to the plots. Then, if you have the cell values
in Comments (or Long Name) header, you can automatically get the corresponding legend according to the headers.
Then, you can edit the legend to remove unnecessary items in the Object Properties dialog as usual.

I suppose Origin8 has the similar procedure, probably more complicated.

Hope this helps.
