Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:Windows 7

Dear Origin,
I do love the Origin games but often they just don't work due to compatibility, and this is known widely in the gaming community. I have a suggestion for you, since many of your games only work with old Operating systems like Windows 98, or Windows XP. This is true of two of my games "Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix, which cost me $39.99! And the free game Red Alert 2 - Command and conquer, , which works on my desktop but not on my laptop.

Why don't you build in a compatibility feature to make sure your games work with Windows 7 and Windows 10? If necessary have people download a separate file/program with all the needed graphics setting and dll files to play the game.

It is highly disappointing that some of your games simply don't work due to compatibility problems. So.....why not have a feature on Origin which asks you what your operating systems is? For example you could choose Windows 98, XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10.
Then then Origin would download the version of the game that works with that system.

Too much trouble? I would remind you that I paid almost $40 for Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix and it doesn't work! Is that the right way to do business?

I only write you because it appears that Origin is the most popular game provider and I know you want a good reputation.
I look forward to your response, and please don't give me a complicated set of instructions on how I must re write my computers Operating system, I've been struggling for several days with that and have had no luck.

I look forward to hearing your response, because I think this is a good idea and Origin should pioneer this new "compatibility" policy.

Hi Steve Taikowski,

Sorry, but Origin software published by OriginLab, and discussed in this forum is NOT a game program,
but analysis and graphing software for scientific data - wrong place for your purpose.
