Is there a way to reload the file into the current worksheet after the file has changed, without the need to select the file again with the fileselector?

If the file name and path don't already show up in the worksheet label then open ASCII options, click Other Options and select the "Rename worksheet to data file name" option. Then save the template. Now you can use the worksheet label to save the file name and path and reopen the file with a macro like this...

def reload {
%A=page.label$;
open -w %A;
};

1. Enter the above macro definition in the script window. (It will be active for the remainder of your Origin session.)
2. Import a file as usual.
3. With the import worksheet active, enter "reload" in the script window to import the same file.
