Hello,
I export graphs in the .eps format and when I take a look at the exported .eps file, I realize that all the text fonts are too fat. I can't reduce the thickness of the fonts. The problem applies to the tick labels, the axis labels and the legend labels.
I have managed to reduce the thickness of the tickmarks by defining the thickness in points (0.2). But there is no such possibility for the text fonts.
I incorporate the .eps file in a LaTeX document, and I create a DVI file, I see my .eps file in it. When I convert the DVI-file to PDF with DVI->PDF, the graph doesn't appear anymore. |

Hi,
For true type fonts, there is no setting for changing the thickness. You could try a font that is not true type, such as Script and then the thickness setting in the export dialog will apply to the font.
As for PDF, I created an EPS from Origin 7SR2, incorporated that into a LaTeX document under MikTex (using WinEdt), created both PS and PDF files, and the graph appeared in both outputs just fine.
If you are just looking for exporting your graph to PDF, version 7 has a new PDF library and so there is no need to go thru LaTex to create the PDF. The EPS library was also updated in version 6.1

Did you try to change the EPS export option of "Font Embedding" to either "Use Built-in Font" or "Use Substitution Table"? Outlining the font usually has the effect you described. You can set these options by setting the "Show Export Options" check mark when you export.
