I really like origin for processing data, but the colors or palettes are a little bit rigid. I don't know how to create a new palette from any image, so I use another app to auto extract it from some palette of Python. However the converter can only output the palette in JASC .PAL not Microsoft.PAL, I guess that is the main reason my origin can't identify the new palette.
Is there any way to go around this and get a new palette(manually add each color one by one not included)? Thank you.

Posted - 05/25/2022 : 1:49:31 PM In later versions, we also have built-in workbook template to extract color from image. You can install latest version to try it. File: New: Workbook: Image Color. Click Run Python code button to pick an image file. Then Origin will extract colors from image. R, G, B and Color columns will be filled. You can then click the color column and save it as color list of palette.

Posted - 01/09/2017 : 02:49:27 AM Hi Perwrinkle,
We have a Color Editor app for creating or editing the Palette or Color List.
Please try to download it in the following page, and then drag-and-drop onto Origin to install it. http://www.originlab.com/fileExchange/details.aspx?fid=317
