Posted - 01/26/2017 : 07:24:41 AM Hi,
I have duplicated the ternary contour plot and obtained 10 plots for other books of data. But, the color scale range is fixed with original ternary contour plot range. The duplicated graphs has colored and greyish contours. Color for within range of original graph datapoint, beyond those data points, the contour is grey color.
Is there anyway to set duplicated graphs autoscale to the color scale range for the data from the book instead of original graph data?

We have fixed the issue with duplicate with new book, new sheet, in 2017 SR1, and we expect to release it in a few weeks.

Posted - 01/31/2017 : 11:12:56 AM Hi Hideo!
My plots were prepared in OriginPro 2016 using ternary contour plot:
1) Prepared Graph1 (original) ternary contour (Graph1) with a certain color range.
2) Right click on graph/ (in tool bar option) Window click on option >Duplicate (Batch plotting) > Duplicate with New sheets/Books. Then plot the imported data Book2 with respective columns.
3) This Graph2 plot generated was with range of Graph1.
4) I have generated around 12 graphs, all had the range from Graph1
Soon, I'd like to try on the Origin 2017. Mean while I guess this would explain my approach and issue I had faced. |

> I had tried to duplicate the plot for the others books
How did you duplicate the graph for the data in other books? Did you copy-and-paste the graph format? saved the format as a theme to apply? or, used the template? just duplicated the graph by "Window: Duplicate" menu? Or, some way else?
Could you please tell us the exact steps in your procedure so that I may be able to figure out what happened?
Thank you.

Posted - 01/31/2017 : 01:12:34 AM Thanks Hideo! The issue I faced is not the same as you tried just duplicating for existing Book1. But I have 12 Books, I had tried to duplicate the plot for the others books. But the color bar range was fixed with original Book 1 data range instead of other Book ranges. |

Posted - 01/30/2017 : 2:14:01 PM Hi srisri,
I have tried the following procedure in my Origin 2017 to make a new ternary contour plot, and got the new one with new color map range automatically to fit in the contour high and low:
1) Create the original ternary contour (Graph1) which has the color scale range from -2 to 3.8. 2) Duplicate Graph1 to create Graph2. 3) Open Layer Contents dialog, remove the Z dataset of the original book, and add the Z dataset of the new workbook.
Now, I see that the color scale of Graph2 has been updated according to the new Z range.
Is this procedure different from yours? Or, if the procedure is the same, possibly because you are using an older version? (In the later case, you can download the Evaluation version of Origin 2017, and try it.)
Sorry, but so far I couldn't reproduce your problem.
