Hi,

I would like to plot around 100 points in a scatter plot (Origin 7) without overlapping so that dots with equal Y-value are positioned in the same row left and right from center).
By checking "Overlapped Points Offset Plotting" in the Plot Detail Box some points suddenly disapear. Does anubody have an idea how to fix this problem?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your thoughts, unfortunatelly (as you predicted) they didn't work. I solved the problem so that I breaked the Y-axis and grouped the rare points on a denser scale and vice versa. Now I have 2 different scales on the Y-axis (which is a little confusing), but at least I can show all values. Now another problem appears with indexing these values whcih I described in the next Forum window.

Thanks, Andrej

Hi Andrej,

Two obvious, though unlikely, things you can look for...

1. Format > Layer > Size/Speed tab. Make sure Speed Mode for worksheet data is unchecked.

2. Also in Plot Details select the data plot and go to the Drop Lines tab. Make sure that Skip Points is unchecked.
