Posted - 11/26/2003 : 08:58:25 AM Hi I am trying to generate a bar chart of experimental results. The names of tests are in the first column and the coresponding results in the second column. Now I want to have a bar chart with the names of the tests in the x-axis and the bars in diferent colours or patterns. Unfortunately I am not able to solve the problem. Is there anybody who can help my. When i am using the regular bar chart feature it is not as I like it.

Posted - 11/26/2003 : 12:27:19 PM Hi Markus,
You can use a third column to specify a color index so that each bar has a different color, such as in the image pasted below.
> Add a third col (Col(C) in this example) > Make the bar graph with Col(A) and Col(B) > Bring up Plot Details - right-click on graph and select Plot Details from context menu > Go to Patterns Tab and click on Fill Color > Select Indexing from Drop-down, and then Col(C)
