Posted - 12/19/2003 : 3:26:09 PM I was trying to insert a special character (Angstrom) into axis label by symbol map, but nothing showed up. But if I tried to insert normal character, like "q", from symbol map. It's ok.
So I tried to insert the "angstrom" character by typing \(0197) in the text control window, but "?" showed up, instead of what I want.
Besides, I opened the files containing angstrom character in Origin 5.0, then the character can't be displayed correctly, only "?" also.
Can anyone tell me why? |

Posted - 12/19/2003 : 4:35:42 PM It's ok now! I changed my language setting of my OS to English(USA), and everything is fine. Thanks a lot for your help! |

Posted - 12/19/2003 : 4:24:18 PM I'm not sure what's going on there. I just tried and got the angstrom symbol when I put \(0197) in a text label. @FC makes no difference on my PC, probably because I already use the Western code page.

Posted - 12/19/2003 : 4:12:17 PM Dear Mike:
Thanks for you reply! But It still can't work. What I did is: 1. Enter "@FC=0" into the script window, and type "enter" to excute it. 2. type "\(0197)" in text control window. it still display "?", not angstrom.
