I know labelling single data point on a plot can be done by double clicking on the point while holding ctrl. Is there any other way where I can label the points by specifying the point from the worksheet?
Thanks |

Posted - 03/15/2017 : 10:59:39 AM Hi,
To specify a specific symbol for each data point:
1) Double click the graph to open Plot Details dialog box. 2) Select Symbol 3) Select Custom-Construction 4) Select Geometric 5) Select Shape
Here it will list a number next to each shape. In my example, I choose 2 (Circle) and 3 (Triangle).
6) Now that you know the number that correlates to each shape, add a new column in your worksheet. Input the number that refers to the symbol shape in each row. In my example, I input 2 and 3 in Col(C). 7) Go back to the Plot Details dialog box and the Symbol tab. 8) Select Shape again. 10) Select Col(C) (The column in which you specified the symbol shape for each row). 11) The Interior tab allows you to specify if you want the symbols to be filled or not filled.

Posted - 03/13/2017 : 5:41:29 PM Hi Alaaldeen,
You can label your data at specific points in the Plot Details dialog box.
Double click the graph which will open the Plot Details Dialog box.
Select the subtab below Layer. The last tab should display 'Label'.
Select the Label tab --> Select Enable --> Select the box 'Show at Specified Indices Only'.
In the blank box next to 'Indices from dataset or space separated numbers (0 = Last)' input which rows you want to label the points. In the figure below, I specify that I want data at row 2,4,8 labeled. I also specify that the data be labeled from Column (C) used in Label Form.
Hope this helps.
