Hi,

I'd like to consider reading the dialog i created via dialog bulder using script / code (eg for [OnOK] etc..) attached to the project...how can I do this?

In the same vein, can I attach the dlls to the folder and always use these somehow?

Cheers,

pete

Hi Scott,

Thanks again...I think now that (ironically missing the point here) that I had the dialog open whilst testing the various changes and sequences. Seems to be behaving all okay now as you expected ie altered attached ops file saved with project.

Cheers,

pete

Hi Scott,

Thanks for reply. As I've tried I think eg
get_project_attached_files_path %A;
dialog.start(%Asimple, Mydialog, %AMydialog.ops);

works fine to load the dialog with default settings but the ops file in path %A is not updated when project is saved...could this be done via code eg mybe I have to copy .tops file from origin direcrory? Am I missing something with saving attached files that have been altered.
The temp folder is updated but not deleted though.

get_project_attached_files_path %A;
dialog.start(%Asimple, Mydialog, %YMydialog.ops);

though seems to work fine and maybe I'll stick with this for now.

Cheers,

pete

Hi Scott,

OK, I tried this and one problem:

Attached dll works fine and can use attached ogs as expected.

However, I seem unable to reuse settings. The T(emporary)ops file appears to be created in the origin folder and when Origin is closed down the ops file is saved to the temporary attached files project folder which then of course isn't deleted. So, I have multiple redundant folders containing ops files building up and I can't use previous settings.

I could get by if the ops file was saved to (kept in) the origin folder (this should be minimum rquired and unless I'm missing something would regard it as a bug) but would like the option of using attached ops files (a suggestion).

How about : if ops file is attached (this could be done independently which would be fine) then always use attached ops file otherwise use origin folder and of course save ops file here.

cheers,

Pete
